I am delighted to be part of the Hoffman Boston community and as I get to know you I want to tell you a bit about myself and the path that led me to become the Assistant Principal of this unique school. I am a native of the Dominican Republic. My

family migrated to New York during my early teens. I am proud to say that I am a product of NY CUNY system. I graduated from Queens College a long time ago, :) where I earned an undergraduate degree in Education and Spanish Literature. In the early 90’s I graduated form George Washington University with a Second Language Acquisition Degree. At about the same time I began my career with APS at Key Immersion Elementary School where I taught the Spanish targeted subjects. I also spent some time at Kenmore as an ESOL/HILT teacher and at Claremont Immersion as a math coach. Before coming to Hoffman Boston I spent four year in the department of instruction working as a Mathematics Specialist. I just recently completed a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership form George Mason University.

I have been married for 13 years and have two precious boys who keep me young, grounded and connected to my passion for education. I am excited to be spending my 17th year in APS as the Assistant Principal of Hoffman Boston Elementary School.
